qmtprotime

For measuring daytime steps
QMT ProTime next generation
Range of equipment for measuring the daily rate of finished watches and movements

The measurement is based on capturing two time-separated images of the product, which are temporally referenced using a precision time base. The time indicated by the watch or movement in its two states is determined by the position of the hands, as defined in the high-resolution image. The rate can then be calculated using the difference between the watch's state difference and the time difference defined by the time base.

The time calculation algorithm takes into account discontinuous displays (such as a jump in the hands) and display desynchronization. The laboratory mode allows for high-speed, continuous measurement of the position of the indicators to enable advanced analysis of the movement's operation.

The key features of the new generation QMT ProTime
  • The average rate measured perfectly matches the customer's perception, on finished watches and movements of all types
  • A recipe creation tool for measurements without programming, featuring Artificial Intelligence integration and an intuitive user interface.
  • More robust and accurate measurement algorithms
  • Modular software allowing the creation of customized functions so that the product can easily adapt to specific customer needs, particularly for data management.
  • Multi-device measurement: shared and versioned measurement programs

The latest generation of daytime walking measurement

Next-generation QMT ProTime technologies
New needle detection algorithm

The new generation of qmtprotime incorporates a new needle detection algorithm to manage overlaps and crossings, while improving detection accuracy and measurement speed.

Equipment suitable for production and the laboratory

The versatility of the QMT ProTime meets the precision testing needs of your watch movements or heads in the laboratory and in production. It can be used on a watchmaker's bench or integrated into an automated cell.

High measurement accuracy

High-resolution color camera (5MP) with a fast acquisition speed. The camera is electrically synchronized with the time base and lighting to ensure accurate time-stamping of images.

High-performance optical system

The QMT ProTime lighting minimizes reflections on watch crystals and eliminates shadows. Simplified controls allow for quick adjustment of contrast and brightness. Thanks to its specific geometry, the lighting adapts to any crystal shape.

Measurement algorithm

New, more robust and precise vision tools improve time reading rates. They allow you to adapt your measurement inspections to a wide variety of movements or finished watch heads.

Flexibility in the choice of computer equipment

Using a standard PC with Windows 10 or 11 64-bit, a client PC can be used.

Creation of measurement inspections
Simplicity of creation
A new measurement inspection creation assistant guides you through configuring your watch or movement in minimal time and effortlessly. It integrates vision tools and improved algorithms incorporating artificial intelligence for high-performance reading rates. Measurement inspections are versioned with change traceability.
Measurement cycles
The product comes with basic measurement cycles, specifically those compliant with ISO3159 (COSC), METAS N001, and the Geneva Seal. Specific cycles can be easily added; these include defining the condition measurements to be performed (number, conditions, etc.), as well as the calculations carried out and the input of any additional information.
Data management
Data centralization
The new generation of QMT ProTime incorporates powerful data management that can be centralized for multiple devices. It is structured around a database that is easily integrated into your information system, allowing you to use and leverage measurements while respecting cybersecurity constraints, particularly regarding data security.
All status and operating measurements are thus available in real time for use and analysis. Measurement planning is also integrated into this database, allowing you to perform this planning within your system and transfer it to qmtprotime.
Multi-equipment measurement
QMT ProTime devices are now calibrated and individually configured to allow the same measurement inspection to be used across a fleet of equipment. Data centralization enables the easy deployment of measurement inspections across all QMT ProTime devices. It is also possible to perform run measurements with status readings taken from different devices.
The equipment can operate locally or in centralized network management with automatic resynchronization in case of network disruption.
Intuitiveness and customization capabilities
User interface
Navigate between modules and view your results easily thanks to a redesigned user interface.
Software customization
The new software allows for the simple addition of functions developed to meet your specific needs, including motion operation control and data management.
Reference time and synchronization
A high-performance time base with synchronization
The qmtprotime incorporates a time base with a TCXO oscillator (drift 4msec/day) enabling relative time measurement. Other configurations can be integrated upon request.
Option: Absolute time measurement with high precision
It is possible to connect the integrated time server to a GPS antenna to time stamp according to UTC time (< 1msec/day) or to synchronize it to an NTP network.
